Visit An AAMI CUSTOMER SERVICE Centre

 

In areas covered by an AAMI Customer Service Centre, we’ll allocate an expert to assess your car.

Our driveway assessment process allows you to have a dedicated date and time to have your car assessed while you wait. If you have chosen our Valet Service we’ll provide a taxi to get you home safely or back to work.

  • If your car is undriveable, we’ll arrange to get it to an AAMI Customer Service Centre.

AAMI has over 32 assessment centres around Australia, including 6 in regional areas. Wherever you may live AAMI is not far away.

Damage Assessment

Most of our customers choose to be with our Valet Service, with the following benefits.

  • From the day you check your car into our assessment centre, until your car is repaired, we will keep you informed every step of the way.

  • Within one working day of you leaving your car, we will call you with the name of the repairer as well as the estimated date your car will be ready.

  • We will pay your taxi fare home or back to work when you bring your car to our Assessment centre, and when you collect your car.

  • We can also arrange a rental car for you, at a special AAMI customer rate.

The right repairer for the right job

Our goal is to get you safely back on the road as soon as possible. Depending on the type of damage, your car will be repaired by a member of our trusted repairer network.

Repairer Direct – if you live in a regional area, these approved AAMI repairers can be booked directly for driveable and non-driveable vehicle repairs.
RepairLink – if you live in a metropolitan area, our AAMI Customer Service Centres offer both driveable and non-driveable vehicle assessments.

What is a write off?
 

Sometimes cars are so badly damaged that they would not be either safe or economical to repair. If we believe this is the case, we will declare your car a write-off and pay you the agreed value or amount covered (depending on the policy type).

If your car is assessed as a ‘write-off’ and you are entitled to be paid the agreed value, we’ll send you a cheque for the agreed amount on your policy or deposit it in your nominated bank account, normally within three working days. Deductions may apply.

If your car is comprehensively insured with AAMI and we declare it a write off because of damage or theft within the first 24 months of its original registration, we will replace it with a new car and pay the on-road costs. If we cannot replace your car by finding a replacement in your local area, we will pay you your car’s agreed value.

Collect Your Car

 

  • Once your car is repaired, we’ll let you know and if you have chosen our Valet Service provide a taxi for you to pick it up.
  • Depending on the damage, for repairs to driveable vehicles we usually take on average 7 to 10 days. We’ll keep you informed throughout or you can track your claim online with My Claim Manager

My Claim Manager allows you to track the status of your motor insurance claim, pay your excess online by credit card and view and change your vehicle assessment booking time.

Are You Happy?

 

  • We want you to be happy with the quality of your repairs and our service.
  • If you have chosen our AAMI Valet Service we’ll contact you 3 days after your repairs to make sure everything is OK. If you’re not satisfied, we’ll do whatever we can to make it right.

The AAMI call centre is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Anytime you have a question we are there to give you the answer.
