Leading national insurer AAMI has topped the list when it comes to customer experience online, taking out the prestigious 2010 AMBER Award for 'Best Online Insurance'.
AAMI beat competition from general insurance and health insurance providers right across the country to take home the independent award, which was presented at the second annual AMBER Awards ceremony at Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art this week.
Head of AAMI Distribution Andy Gibson said receiving the award was particularly pleasing as it represented the genuine view of thousands of Australian consumers.
"The AMBER awards are designed to recognise excellence in eServices and to highlight the leaders in eCommerce within the Australian online business community," Mr Gibson said.
"To win the 'Best Online Insurance' award is a very pleasing result for AAMI, all the more so because the results come directly from online customers.

Judging for the AMBER Awards is a rigorous and independent process involving a nationwide survey of 2,500 Australian consumers combined with hands on testing of the websites' usability and service experience by real customers.
