AAMI Apprentice Subsidy SchemeAAMI works closely with the motor repair industry to support aspiring young smash repairers. In 2008, AAMI's Apprentice Subsidy Scheme assisted 279 Australian apprentices in their training to become qualified panel beaters. Each four-year subsidy is valued at $12,000 which is paid to motor repairers to cover the costs of employing and training apprentices. AAMI contributed $837,000 to the scheme last year. |

AAMI/Australian BodyShop News TAFE Grants ProgramIn conjunction with Australian BodyShop News magazine, AAMI contributes annual grants totalling $20,000 to support automotive and smash repairer TAFE programs. This scheme, now in its eighth year, helps to ensure our TAFE Colleges are able to keep up to date with the latest in vehicle technology and repair standards. |
