AAMI urges bushfire-affected customers to contact insurer as soon as possible


AAMI is urging bushfire-affected customers in Victoria to contact them as soon as possible to lodge their claims.

AAMI spokesperson, Melissa Cronin said: “These types of events are tragic at anytime of the year, let alone Christmas day.”

“However you and your family’s personal safety is the first priority, and after that, if you need to make a claim we urge you to contact us as soon as possible.”

“The sooner we’re notified about your situation, the sooner we can get the claims process underway for you.”

AAMI stands ready to assist its customers during this difficult time. Customers do not need to have access to their property, or have all of their insurance documents on hand before lodging their claim.

“We encourage all customers to follow to the advice of authorities when it comes to accessing their homes.

“We have your details on file, so even if you’ve been evacuated from your property and are not sure how it has been affected, by contacting us as soon as possible and letting us know we can start the claims process and provide you and your family with immediate assistance.
