Specified Injuries

I am the driver at fault

If you're at fault in a car accident and have suffered a specified injury, and you're insured with AAMI SA CTP Insurance, you may be eligible to claim under our Driver Protection Cover.

You may be eligible to claim on Driver Protection Cover if:

  • You are the at fault driver in a vehicle accident and have suffered a specified injury
  • The vehicle which you were driving holds AAMI CTP insurance and is registered in South Australia
  • The accident date was on or after 17 January 2022

Important Notice: AAMI has withdrawn Driver Protection Cover. 

  • New AAMI CTP Insurance policies commencing on or after 02/08/2023 will not receive Driver Protection Cover.
  • Existing AAMI CTP Insurance policies renewing after 02/10/2023 will not receive Driver Protection Cover.

CTP Claims Complaints or to resolve a dispute

AAMI is committed to serving customers in a professional, knowledgeable and responsive manner. If you have a complaint regarding our service, or decisions we have made, please contact your Claims Advisor directly.

If your complaint cannot be resolved at that point, you may ask to be referred to any of the following dispute resolutions:

  • AAMI’s SA CTP Executive Manager who will attempt to resolve your complaint
  • AAMI’s Internal Dispute Resolution team on 1300 240 437
  • Request for conciliation with a conciliator within 30 business days of the date of AAMI’s determination

Eligibility

DPC is only available on a Passenger Vehicle (Vehicle Class 1 and 51) or Goods Carrying: Light Vehicle (Vehicle class 2 and 52). Drivers under the age of 25 years that do not have comprehensive insurance with AAMI or another brand within the Suncorp Group are not eligible for DPC.
