How to make an Income Protection Insurance Policy claim

To lodge your claim, one of our friendly staff will be there to take care of you. Please have your policy number as well as details of your condition on hand.

What happens after you make your claim

What you'll need

  • Completed claim form
  • Completed Medical Practitioners form, if applicable
  • Certified copy of proof of your identity such as your driver’s licence or passport

Documents provided must be in English. We may need you to send us evidence of your income; or other relevant documents depending on the nature of your claim. We will discuss this with you when you call us to tell us that you will be making a claim.

FIRST

Receive a claims pack

We will send you a claims pack via email or mail with instructions on what you’ll need. Please return the completed claim form and required documents so we can start assessing your claim.

SECOND

Assessment

Our claims team will begin our assessment once we receive your claim form and required documents. We may take between 3–4 business days to assess your claim. However, the length of time can vary depending on the circumstances of the claim, the type, and how quickly we receive everything. We’ll keep you updated on progress of your claim.

THIRD

Decision

If your claim has been accepted, the first payment will be due one month after the claim waiting period Payment are made monthly in arrears.
