The AAMI Intelligent Virtual Assistant

This is the live resource for all the information and updates on the AAMI Virtual Assistant.

What it can do?

  • It can help you with questions about payments, renewals, excesses, and updating your policy details in your My Account online.
  • It can direct you to the most relevant page on our website, so you don't have to go clicking around for it.
  • It can recognise when it can't help you and will connect you to a skilled Live Agent or one of our responsive call centre operators.
  • It learns with every interaction. So, if it doesn't have a direct answer for your question right now, it may be able to address it soon.

What it can’t do

  • It can't offer you financial advice . Think of it as your helpful digital concierge, able to point you in the right direction and offer up the facts.
  • It can't answer insurance product related questions. Instead, it will point you to the most reliable source of information – the Product Disclosure Statement and other policy documents.
  • It can't give you a quote - but it can show you where to get one.
  • It can't pass on your contact information or personal details.

What does the future hold?

We're monitoring the AAMI Virtual Assistant's performance as it responds to each and every question you ask. This data will be used to improve the depth, breadth and overall quality of replies, as well as prioritise which insurance-related topics it will be trained on next.

That's right! When it asks 'Was this answer helpful?' you can help us recognise which questions you want it to understand by filling out the two-question survey. Let us know what you liked, loved, or didn't find useful in the chat, and we'll use this info to create the most helpful Virtual Assistant possible! 

We'll be updating this article with every new release of it's AI-engine, expanding upon which questions we've added to it's repertoire and what's coming up next. So be sure to check back soon!

AAMI Health Insurance is issued by nib health funds limited ABN 83 000 124 381 (nib), a registered private health insurer, and is marketed by Platform CoVentures Pty Ltd ABN 82 626 829 623 (PC), a Suncorp Group company. PC is an authorised agent of nib and receives commission from nib.

AAMI LIFE INSURANCE
AAMI Life Insurance products, other than in some circumstances the Redundancy Benefit, are provided by either Asteron Life & Superannuation Limited ABN 87 073 979 530, AFSL 229880 (Asteron) or by TAL Life Limited ABN 70 050 109 450 AFSL 237848 (TAL Life) which is part of the TAL Dai-ichi Life Australia Pty Limited ABN 97 150 070 483 group of companies (TAL).
