What happens if I've missed a payment?
At AAMI, we know life can be a little unexpected sometimes. If for some reason you do miss a payment instalment, it’s important you pay it is as soon as you can. When an instalment is missed, we will let you know and:
- We can cancel your policy with advance notice when an instalment is 14 days overdue; or
- Cancel your policy without advance notice once an instalment is a month overdue.
If you've missed a payment, you should be able to fix it up through your My Account. Simply log in, select the policy you want to make the payment for, choose View Policy then Pay now. If there's no option to pay online, it may mean your payment is too late and you'll need to contact us on 13 22 44.
