What we can cover

If you run a coffee shop, restaurant, salad or juice bar, mobile food van, or catering business, Public & Products Liability Insurance (available under an AAMI Business Insurance policy) can provide cover for common third party injury and property damage risks:

  • A customer has an allergic reaction to your food.
  • A chair or table collapses while in use, causing injury to a customer.
  • A barista accidentally spills hot coffee on your customers phone and damages it.
  • A food delivery driver trips over an extension cord while picking up an order.
  • A customer slips on a spilled drink on the floor and injures themselves.
  • A client claims a catering order caused multiple guests to fall ill, leading to a compensation claim.
