What we can cover

If you clean people’s homes or apartments or run a business employing domestic cleaners, Public & Products Liability Insurance (available under an AAMI Business Insurance policy) can provide cover for common third party injury and property damage risks:

  • A customer accidentally slips on a freshly mopped floor and is injured.
  • You spill a cleaning agent on a client’s carpet causing permanent damage.
  • You drop a bucket of water near an electrical outlet causing damage to your client’s appliances.
  • A cleaning product you use causes an allergic skin reaction in a client.
  • A client claims damage to wood furniture after a product you used caused discolouration.
