AAMI takes out top Consumer Finance Award for fourth year running


Leading national insurer, AAMI, has been named Insurer of the Year in Money magazine’s Consumer Finance Awards for the fourth year running.

Analysts from research company Canstar put AAMI’s continued success down to having strong product and service offerings across Car, home and contents insurance, and providing outstanding value.

AAMI Corporate Affairs manager Reuben Aitchison said AAMI has never sat on its laurels. “The competitive market we are in would punish us if we just sat still. To keep ahead of the game and ensure we keep offering great value, we’re always talking with our customers. They tell us what great insurance is and we work really hard to deliver that.”

Mr Aitchison said it’s also about the extras that make things simpler for customers. “The past few years have seen a range of innovations, the sort of thing AAMI has become known for, such as being able to check where your claim is up to anytime, anywhere, or our App that guides you through what you should do immediately after an accident.

“And, of course, we still have that real person answering the phone 24/7. The start of this year also saw AAMI launch new and improved home and motor products, adding more choice for customers and optional extras, such as Roadside Assist.

AAMI's win in the Consumer Finance Awards follows the brand’s fourth win in five years in the Canstar Outstanding Value Car Insurance ratings in April.
