AAMI Customer Response Team now operational in Charlestown


AAMI's Customer Response Team, a mobile claims and assessment unit, is now operational in Charlestown and ready to assist customers affected by the severe storms and floods that have struck the NSW coast.

Located at 25 Pearson Street, Charlestown, the Customer Response Team (CRT) is a fully self-sufficient mobile unit which allows AAMI customers to lodge claims in person and access services including emergency funds and temporary accommodation.

AAMI spokesperson, Reuben Aitchison said: "Having a CRT unit and claims staff on the ground in affected areas allows customers to commence the claim process even if they are still without power or telecommunications."

"We understand that these are very challenging times for many residents whose homes and property have been significantly damaged by the wild weather."

"Our priority at this time is the safety of our customers, but to also help residents begin rebuilding their lives as quickly as possible,"he said. 

If customers cannot get to the CRT, they are encouraged to lodge claims online at www.aami.com.au to avoid call queues. AAMI’s call centre is also available 24 hours a day on 13 22 44.

Commercial insurance claims for AAMI business customers can also be made through the Customer Response Team.
