What is Contents Insurance?

As the name suggests, Contents Insurance is insurance that’s designed for the stuff inside your house, but not the house itself or its permanent fixtures. For that, consider AAMI Building Insurance.

So, if needed following an insured event, it’ll help you repair or replace your furniture, your clothes, your appliances and more! For more info on what is and isn’t covered, be sure to read the Product Disclosure Statement.

Insured Events apply to AAMI Home Insurance products, excluding AAMI Fire & Theft Contents Insurance which is limited to loss or damage by Fire, Theft or Burglary.

Flood cover is automatically included and cannot be removed from your policy. If you have removed flood cover from an existing policy, your certificate of insurance will show this limitation in your cover.

We don’t insure you for flood for the first 72 hours of your policy. Very limited exceptions apply. For more information refer to the relevant Product Disclosure Statement.
