What happens if I've missed a payment?
At AAMI, we know life can be a little unexpected sometimes. If for some reason you do miss a payment instalment, it's important you pay it is as soon as you can.
We'll use your preferred method to notify you of any payment issues via letter, email or SMS when they happen so you can take control.
If the policy is overdue for too long, we'll eventually cancel it:
- by giving you at least 14 days advance notice; or
- without advance notice, once the instalment is one month late.
If you've missed a payment, you should be able to fix it up through My Account or the AAMI App.
