We’re sorry you’re thinking of cancelling. For policy cancellations or to discuss your situation further, please call us on 13 22 44. If you do cancel, you may qualify for a refund for the unexpired portion of the premium less our cancellation fee and any non-refundable government charges (if applicable).
The way you lodge a claim varies a bit state to state. We’ve made the process as easy as possible for you – check out all the information you need to know about lodging a CTP claim in one place.
There a two main reasons for cancelling your CTP:
- If your vehicle is de-registered (which may be due to theft, total loss or moving interstate), you may be entitled to a pro-rata refund of your CTP premium. The RMS will issue you with a cancellation letter after the registration is cancelled. Have the RMS cancellation letter or interstate registry receipt and registration certificate with you when you call AAMI on 13 22 44 to organise a refund of your CTP premium.
- If you paid for your CTP and have not used the Green Slip to register your vehicle, you may be entitled to a refund. Please call 13 22 44 for information about how to receive a refund for your CTP premium.
