Paying for your AAMI MAI Insurance is simple – since your MAI Insurance is attached to your registration, you need to select AAMI as your preferred MAI Insurer when making payment for your registration with Access Canberra.
MAI Insurance is linked to the vehicle, not the owner. If you sell your vehicle, the MAI Insurance will be transferred to the new owner. Similarly, if you buy a vehicle, the MAI Insurance will be transferred to you.
Just make sure that you advise Access Canberra.
Since your MAI Insurance is connected to your registration, you’ll need to update your address, phone number, and other contact information with Access Canberra.
Cancelling your MAI Insurance means cancelling your vehicle’s registration, which you can choose to do at any time. Once you’ve cancelled your registration, you won’t be allowed to drive your vehicle anymore.
You can lodge your request to cancel at your nearest Access Canberra Service Centre.
