What is Portable Valuables Cover?

Portable Valuables Cover is available for an added premium as optional cover with AAMI Home Contents Insurance. It provides additional cover for items you're likely to take outside your home like your handbag, jewellery, laptop and mobile phone.

We pay up to a maximum of $1,000 per item, pair, set or collection. However certain items - including your laptop and mobile phone - need to be specified on your policy to be covered. Insuring these items will increase your premiums, but they’ll be covered for accidental loss or damage at and away from your home.

If you're an existing AAMI customer, simply log in to your account online or via the AAMI App to add Portable Valuables Cover to your Home and Contents Insurance. If you have a high value portable item you’d like to insure, speak to one of our call centre agents on 13 22 44.
