AAMI has Health Insurance to cover couples at all stages of life — whether you’re a young couple, starting a family or planning retirement. From love letters to living together, you and your partner have a unique story to tell about looking out for the one you love. Health insurance for couples can help you make sure each of you is covered should the unexpected occur.
Starting a life with the one you love shouldn’t break the bank. AAMI Health Insurance Basic Hospital Plus Cover is a great affordable health insurance option for younger couples. It doesn’t include higher risk and higher cost services you may not be looking at now, such as heart procedure or pregnancy-related services. This way, you can pay only for the things you need, so you can focus on getting started with your future.
Thinking about adding a new member to the family? You may start considering the things you’ll be facing throughout pregnancy and beyond. AAMI Health Insurance’s most comprehensive cover, Gold Hospital, includes pregnancy and all Medicare recognised in-hospital services, such as:
Pregnancy and birth
fallopian tube, uterus, and ovary infertility investigation and
retrieval of eggs and implantation of fertilised eggs.
For many women, adding Extras cover to their health insurance can also help to give peace of mind at a very important time. Add Premium Active Extras cover to your Hospital cover to extend the range of Antenatal and Postnatal Services and Treatments you’re covered for. Not only will you get higher annual limits, but you’ll also be able to claim 70% back (compared to 60% on our other Extras covers).
As you get older, your needs and lifestyle can change. If you’ve had children and they’ve left the nest, you and your partner should re-evaluate your health insurance to see whether it’s the right for you.
AAMI Health Insurance Silver Advantage Hospital cover can give you the highest level of hospital cover, without the added costs of things you’re unlikely to need, like pregnancy or IVF services. Instead, you can get cover for more relevant services, like:
Rehabilitation from injury
Back surgery and
Hip and knee replacements.
Selecting the right level of cover for you and your partner
These are just some of the ways AAMI Health Insurance for couples can keep you covered at each stage of your relationship. If you’re unsure of where you fit and what you can afford, our Health Insurance lifestage guide for couples can help.
